First, thanks for visiting this website. I appreciate your time and interest in working together.
As far as my background, I've had one heck of a journey. I started working by bussing tables and tending bar, but ended up building companies, raising capital, leading teams, and employing hundreds of people. I've experienced what comes with getting things right and the humility that comes when you don't. I've won. I've failed. I've done stupid things and made lots of mistakes. And some of the hardest moments taught me the most. I've got the scars, stories, lessons, flowers, and gratitude to prove it.
At this stage of my life, I'm less interested in what I can achieve and more interested in what I can share. I want to take what I've learned over a lifetime in business, leadership, and life and put it to work helping people and organizations be their best. That could be a young professional just getting started, a startup finding its footing, a leadership team building something great, a university preparing the next generation, or an established company navigating growth and what comes next.
At heart, I am a humanitarian capitalist. I believe deeply in the power of values-based business and free enterprise, but just as deeply in the people who make it all work. I don't believe we have to choose between performance and humanity, structure and creativity, accountability and empathy, ambition and fulfillment. In fact, I believe the best companies, and the best lives, are built by bringing those things together. It takes intention, good systems and structure, the essential concepts, tools, and disciplines, and people who genuinely care about one another and what they're trying to accomplish together. There's a science to it, an art to it, and certainly some mechanics to it. The opportunity is to bring all three together: to humanize the way we work, systemize the way we operate, and optimize the way we perform. When we get that right, people make the organization better ... the organization helps make its people better ... and together everyone is better equipped to focus, align, and thrive.
And those benefits matter now more than ever. Because AI, automation, workforce dynamics, and the socioeconomic realities of today are changing how we work and live at an extraordinary pace. But for all the changes coming our way, I believe the human side of business will only become more important, not less. Truly, we have an incredible opportunity to harness the best of both and build strong, healthy, and enduring organizations where everyone can succeed in business, work, and life.
In summary, that helps explain my purpose, cause, and passion.
And I am grateful for the opportunity to serve.
